Day 305 - Candy, chicken and biscuits

We all had a little something going on tonight...

Teagan was itching to sort her Halloween candy, so we sorted candy.  We all chose a few favorites, and then we decided we would donate the rest to Candy for the Troops, sponsored by Operation Care and Comfort.

Lydia decided she wanted to help make dinner. She helped make some really good burgers on Sunday night. I figured that if she wants to learn to cook, it's fine with me! She wanted drumsticks, so we make some oven fried chicken with oatmeal. Doesn't that sound awful? It was remarkably quite delicious.

Then I decided that I wanted to try these biscuits, because what would be better than biscuits with candy and oatmeal chicken?  They are good biscuits, but I didn't make buttermilk, so they might be better next time...
