Day 36 where's my post?

Apparently my post about teaching my girls to ski has been eaten by the cyber world.  Rest assured it was amazing!

Day 35 - Snow Provisions

Soon off to the snow,  our bags have been packed and are waiting patiently by the door.

Day 22 - Going downhill

Two years ago I tore my ACL skiing.  It was a fortunate injury in that it happened on a fabulous day of skiing,  (followed by another great day of skiing),  I had no pain and didn't actually know it was torn for a month.

It was unfortunate in that my response to surgery was less than stellar, and it took me almost a full year to recover from the procedure.

Today was my first chance to try out my new ligament skiing (my own,  not a cadaver).  I wore my knee brace and wasn't overly agressive, but it was still exhilarating and reminded me why I love the sport.  The speed,  the beauty,  the fun is not what you encounter on a daily basis,  and leaves you yearning for more.

I can't wait to ski again.  The girls took lessons,  and I can't wait to be able to ski with them.  I look forward to skiing for years and years to come.

Day 21- and away we go

We left the comforts of the WG travel to the snow.  4 women and 6 kids under 6. If that's not fun,  I don't know what is!

Day 10- Ski boots all around!

I have 2 trips planned to the snow with the girls and I can't wait.

Today, Lydia's new new snow boots arrived in the mail and Teagan's arrived on Saturday,  so we decided to  tried on our boots to see if they fit.

None of us have been skiing in 2 years because of my stupid knee surgery, so I am hoping this season the girls will learn to ski on their own. I can't wait until the three of us can ski together, we will have so much fun!
