Day 298- Lydia wanted cookies

Lydia really wanted me to make cookies for her. When I agreed and asked what kind she wanted me to make the Halloween sandwich cookies I had made last year. I wasn't really excited about making them because I hadn't found a recipe that I really loved. I knew I couldn't make a linzer torte cookie because I didn't have any nuts, so I tried a sugar cookie recipe. They were ok... dull and not very exciting.  I did make a new brown butter frosting, that I made orange and it was quite tasty.

Lydia liked them, and they looked cute, but I think I need to go back to my super yum fallback sugar cookie recipe and use the brown butter frosting in the middle... Odds of me doing this BEFORE Halloween... slim.
