Day 191 - Sticky stripes

The painted shoes are done. Well, they are painted and clear coated and I am waiting patiently for them to dry completely before I peel all the blue tape off. When they are dry, I will be  the proud owner of striped wooden sandals.

I now know that blue tape for making stripes is not the best medium, and that making stripes by hand is dicey at best. My sandals are striped, but those stripes are far from perfect... I can live with it. At least for this summer. If the stripes imperfections drive me too nuts, I can always repaint them next summer.
