After biking, swimming, reading and relaxing today, it was time for an art opening and a speakeasy. My house painter is also a painter and she invited me to her art opening featuring works about water. It was a very pleasant way to spend a Friday evening.
Then I met some teacher types to toast the end of a great year at a local speakeasy, but we will keep that quiet.
On the way I ran into some street art... more yarn bombing... sigh.
My job is in technology. For the last 2 years, I have been working on a MLIS with a focus on, technology. But, when I step away from the computer, I have the most fun doing the more low-tech things.
As a child, I read the Little House Books like they were modern manuals for life. If they could do it on the prairie with no power, I must have a good shot. I am still an avid reader, a neurotic baker, crafter, knitter, amateur DIYer, and multi-tasker.
Since I am the queen of distraction and PIGS (projects in grocery sacks), I decided to share my chaos with the world. Who knows, you might see something you actually like.
