Day 301 - Football and fundraising

Today was our annual girls' flag football game, unfortunately dubbed PowderPuff.  In years past it has been an overly competitive and contentious event resulting in injuries, drama and upset. We (as in the adults in charge of helping to plan and execute the event) have been working diligently on recasting the event, from sports brawl to fundraising opportunity for our sister community in El Salvador. I was pleasantly surprised by the turn of events. The game was still competitive, but it wasn't ruthless and the players seemed to leave the field in high spirits regardless of who had won.  Best of all I think we hit our fundraising goal.
