Day 120 - The Hunger

Last night proved much more exciting than I had originally anticipated,  and rendered me somewhat incapacitated for a few hours today.  In short, I was a little tattered.

Thankfully I was immersed in a new book, The Hunger by John DeLucie, all about the his life becoming a renowned chef. It wasn't the book I expected it to be, which made it even more intriguing to read.  I expected it to be another Anthony Bourdain expose about the restaurant kitchen, but it wasn't that story.  Instead it was the story of how a normal guy decided to make cooking his career.  It was compelling, didn't make me want to avoid restaurants and seemed to pull some of the shine off the glamorous life of the celebrity chef.
