Today was one of those epic days that seems to just keep getting better. It started at 3:30 with a viewing of the royal wedding. I know we weren't supposed to care, but the history nerd in me was going crazy and I had to see it happen. I love hearing the random details like how long it takes to heat the beeswax needed to polish the royal mounted guards tack, and whose hat was not stylish.
After watching for a few hours, I took a nap and then packed my tea cup for the royal tea party that was being thrown at work. Sadly I did not have a hat, but the tea party was amazing. My favorite was the carrot cake, which was the best I have ever tasted.
Then, tonight the whole family ventured to San Jose and headed out to the ballgame to see the San Jose Giants play some other team...The game was awful, so awful that the amusing games played between innings seemed few and far between. It was still fun to see everyone, and for $5 a ticket, it's hard to complain.
After dinner at the ballpark, Jack and Tierney and I, met up with Andrew at the house before going to the GooseTown Lounge to hear some stellar karaoke.
Before we left though, Andrew needed to charge the gift he purchased in my honor, an electric cigarette. His awesome gift? He gave up smoking for my birthday. That has to be one of the best gifts anyone has ever given me. And yes, it does look totally ridiculous there charging on a UBS port.
