Amusingly, things are little out of control in my life at the moment.
A video editing project from hell has surfaced at work, along with 5-6 other time sensitive projects that all need to be completed simultaneously. My social calendar is suddenly packed with events for me and the girls. Between Christmas gifts, the Valentine tree decorating project and the cold weather necessitating wearing 5 layers of clothing my house looks like I live with frat boys that craft.
Instead, I went and taught gardening to 15 kindergarteners because in case I didn't have enough to do, I am also leading a kindergarten Girl Scout Troop
Most people would probably say this would be a good time to slow down, get a pedicure or have dinner with friends. Not me.

Tonight we planted lettuce seeds in tiny containers that we filled with dirt and then watered. In case you have forgotten, here is the equation.
children + dirt + water = mud
I really don't like dirt. I don't mind gardening, but I really don't like dirt. And there is only one thing I hate more than dirt, mud. And worms.
Avoiding children and dirt is at the top of my priority list this week. I am the mom that asks "Do you need to play in that dirt pile?" before the car has even stopped. But I threw on my Gilnda hat and we planted lettuce seeds in dirt and watered the dirt to make mud.
When I got home this evening, a friend sent me a link for bartending classes. That might have been a better activity for this week. No dirt, no mud and you get to have a cocktail at the end instead of a dirt cookie.
