Day 317 - Salt Bucket Brigade

I came home from Pasadena happy to reunite with my girls, who had been gone since Wednesday because school was out on Thursday and Friday.  But, of course, we couldn't just relish in each other's presence, because we had to go grocery shopping. We needed the essentials: milk, bread, eggs, 80 pounds of salt for the water softener.

I was a little worried about how we were going to get those 40 pound bags of salt into the water softener, and forgot about all the steps in the interim, like getting the bags onto the cart or pushing a cart with 80 pounds of salt on it. It was comical.  Luckily, we got help out and got the bags into the car. The girls were really worried about how we would ever get the bags out of the car but I assured them I had a plan. 1 pair of scissors and 3 buckets later, I had put them to work dumping their loads of salt pellets into the water softener.
