We have this potato shrub in the backyard that is really pretty and makes some nice shade, but requires a lot of pruning. So much in fact that when my friend saw it, told me that she had ripped her's out because she got sick of pruning it. So, when I realized that my needed pruning again this evening, I thought it would be a great time to get out the electric hedge trimmer. That was until I realized that the hedge trimmer was sort of heavy and that I had to hold it above my head while pruning. It's been 2 hours, the backyard is still full of branches and my arms are still shaking.
