Today, August 15th, a day I would associate with dog days of summer, was the girls' first day of first grade. I wouldn't say they were excited, but they were intrigued by the idea of first grade. It was the first time they have been in separate classes from each other since they started preschool four years ago. But, each of them had former classmates and girl scouts in their classes and the rooms are next door to each other. They seemed ok with it, so for now, it's all ok.
