I chaperoned a group of very bright students to a little company called Facebook today, so they could hear about how their amazing math and science skills could be transform them into the engineers of tomorrow. It was a great tour.
The girls were really fortunate to have thie opportunity to meet such dynamic female engineers. I was fortunate to recognize 2 things: 1. I like my career field. A lot. I would not be happy in a corporate environment, it's just not me! 2. I like Facebook the product more than I liked Facebook the company. The application is about connections and sharing, the company is about engineering and programing and I would rather connect and share than program.
