Day 148- Mary Poppins and Yarn Bombing

Apparently I am being followed. Not by a person, but by a concept, or an action, or a movement... I don't even know how to describe it actually, but this Yarn Bombing "thing" is following me.  I can't seem to turn around without running into it.  Either I am seeing it in person   (San Pedro Square), running into articles about it while researching tech stuff for work, having conversations about it because it's on the book jacket of a book I pick up,  having my brother or friends send me articles about it.

So, the question is why?  Because in my experience, when I start to see and hear about something over and over and over again, there's usually a reason or a rationale.  Especially when it's as obscure as something like Yarn Bombing.  I certainly don't have interest in fabric graffiti art, I won't be joining in a group of Yarn Bombers.  I sort of think it's a big waste of yarn. So for now, the question remains, why?

We went to Sing a Long Mary Poppins today at the RetroDome in San Jose.  The girls really enjoyed it, although Lydia was quick to tell me that it was not a new version of the movie, just the same movie as before but with words on the screen.  They want to go back for Wizard of Oz, so I suspect we will.
