I was surprised to see these 11 men and their unmarked cars in the parking lot today. The way they circled the wagons, doors open, and met in a huddle in the center couldn't have been more conspicuous 20 feet away from a playground. But it was the matching undercover cop attire that really gave them away. Polo shirts (white, black, navy or gray), tucked into belted, high waisted jeans and sneakers. It's just not a good look on most anyone, and then when you see 11 men, of varying ages, sizes and shapes all wearing this outfit you know something is up. Does the San Jose PD think this look blends in? Looks professional? Flatters the figure? Is it in some sort of police dress code? Or in the "How to go undercover manual"? It's ridiculous.
I have no idea what they were doing at the park, but they left just before the chaos of our girl scout meeting began. What could be more chaotic than 16 kindergarten girl scouts? Having six 5th grade girls come to help out at the meeting by collecting donations for a cat shelter. My ears hurt.
