Last fall, a pair of my favorite sandals fell into disrepair; the strap broke and the insole was torn. I took them to the cobbler who fixed the strap and replaced the insole. Since I had them repaired over the winter, I didn't realize until last week that the new insoles were ugly; really, really ugly. So ugly in fact that a guy I knew noticed they were ugly and commented on them the first time I wore them. Clearly, they were ugly.
I didn't want to give up my sandals, but I couldn't wear them with those ugly insoles, so I decided to fix them. Armed with fabric scraps, embroidery scissors and Aleene's Glue, I made new insoles. I think they are super cute, so cute that no will pay any attention to them.
