Day 43- Paper, tears and candy

Tonight, armed with a class list and sixty Valentine's cards, I helped the girls prepare Valentines for their classmates. For a project supposedly associated with love and good feelings, it certainly created a lot misery and strife. The combination of candy and stationary products is not well suited to the Kindergarten set.

High points? I discovered that attaching candy, stickers and temporary tattoos with the glue gun was quick and easy. I am now considering what else I can glue.

Low Points? Each of the girls cried about writing their name 30 times, and each of them managed to address at least one card to and from themselves. Teagan attached stickers to the folded side of her cards rather than the open side, and Lydia wrote every letter, in every child's name, backwards, necessitating my addressing all of the cards a second time with a Sharpie.

Love is in the air here at our house. We all had to have some candy to recover this project.
